June Fox-Roberts was brutally murdered in her own home just under two years ago.

The 65-year-old, from Llantwit Fardre, South Wales, was killed by a man she had never met. Her murder rocked her hometown, tore her family apart and sent shockwaves and chills through the country.

Prior to her murder, June had been descibed as a "woman with a huge heart" who "would welcome anyone with open arms into her home". Sadly, in November 2021, she was killed by an intruder who trode on her good nature.

June was a mother, sister and grandmother and her death is now the focus on a new series of ITV's Code Blue, with 'The Killing of June Roberts' airing tonight and tomorrow as part of a two-part special.

June was a cherished mother to her three grown-up children, Trisha, Sebastian and Abigail. She was also a loving grandmother, eagerly awaiting the arrival of her great-granddaughter, who was born just a few weeks before the tragedy. Sadly, she never had the chance to meet her.

A well-liked figure in the village, June was not only the director of her family's IT firm but also the owner of a nearby café called June's Cakes and Shakes. Her career had been diverse, including running a chicken farm, assisting underprivileged children in schools, operating a coffee shop, working as an IT contractor, and being a landlady.

June had friends all over the world, thanks to her travels for work, and she had plans for a fulfilling retirement. She looked forward to spending more time with her friends and family, and she had envisioned building her dream bungalow complete with a beautiful garden and allotment to enjoy in her leisure time.

Tragedy had struck June once before, as she had lost her ex-husband over a decade ago. Despite her hardships, she remained resilient and continued to be a pillar of strength for her loved ones.

June's death left her family, friends and the community heartbroken as they mourned the untimely passing of a beloved grandmother and remarkable individual.

June died in her home in Llantwit Fardre, near Pontypridd, on November 21, 2021. A man named Luke Deeley entered her house and attacked her.

June, a mother of three whose husband had passed away more than ten years prior, was home alone that weekend. The attack caused her to collapse, and Deeley then placed her on tarpaulin before doing more harm to her.

One of her daughter's later found her body. A post-mortem examination revealed that June had suffered injuries to her head caused by blunt force while she was still alive.

A blow to her forehead had knocked her out, and she also had other injuries indicating "stamping." Deeley then proceeded to decapitate and dismember her using an axe, before placing her limbs into separated bags. He had also carried a chainsaw into June's home, but he didn't use it.
